A series dedicated to the range of human emotion, in its rawest, truest, most powerful and most devastating form. There is a certain aura of gloom or even despair permeating the series – largely caused by the artist’s own psychological struggles, during a period where making art was an outburst, the only possible therapy.
Rage, fear, solitude, confusion blend into a storm of heavily, sometimes angrily layered color and texture. The figurative elements – faces recognizable as human – appear and fade out into abstract shapes throughout the series, manifesting struggles with identity in a restless search for self.
